Jay is the owner and operator at Oracle Sound Studios, where plenty of local talent has emerged from. This is also where the first 6 Perth United songs were born and the first 3 Steven Helhammer songs were mixed – all thanks to Jay.

Finally, Jay is also a part of the very first Perth United song where he plays guitar and bass and did the mix.

Jay is also the guitarist for Perth grindcore band Concede.
